Board Staff

The Iowa Board of Podiatry is staffed by a Board Executive and a Secretary in the Bureau of Professional Licensure, Iowa Department of Public Health. Legal services are provided by the Iowa Attorney General's Office.

Board Members

The Board is made up of five Iowa licensed podiatrists,two members who are licensed to practice othotics, prosthetics,or pedorthics, and two members who are not so licensed who shall represent the general public. All Board members are appointed by the Governor for three-year terms. A Board member may serve no more than three terms or nine years.

Board Members:

  • serve three-year terms (unless filling an unexpired term),
  • appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate,
  • serve no more than nine years (three full terms).
