Program Background & Funding
The Iowa Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (CCCP) was established in 2001, and is part of the Iowa Department of Public Health's Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management. The CCCP currently receives a Comprehensive Cancer Control federal grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support the creation of a statewide cancer partnership and state cancer control plan. For the past several years, the CCCP has received a state appropriation for comprehensive cancer control to implement the state cancer plan and for cervical and colorectal cancer screening.
